Sydney Observatory building and gardens are open daily (closed Christmas day) from 10.00am to 5.00pm. During the day admission is free for you to explore the beautiful garden and wander through the old observatory building to investigate the exhibitions Transit of Venus: the event that led Captain Cook to Australia and By the light of the southern stars.
